The Material used to create the extended mag release is Delrin Acetal which has Excellent Tensile and Impact Strength. We chose this material because it was less likely to wear out your Glock polymer magazines. Otherwise we would have been happy to machine this part out of aluminum but due to the polymer Glock magazine material constraints we had to get creative. Another major benefit to using Delrin Acetal is that it has a natural Impregnated Lubricity that will allow smoother magazine changes in comparison to the cheap factory injection molded plastic.
