When Dr. Greg Mosdossy, an ER Physician from Montreal who attended to several victims of the mass shooting at École Polytechnique on Dec. 6, 1989, attended a Toronto council meeting to give his professional opinion on proposed bylaws, he was relentlessly harassed, and verbally abused, without cause. Even though he was the most credible witness to attend, other doctors (specifically Dr. Najma Ahmed of University of Toronto, Doctors for Protection from Guns) mocked him as he attempted to answer a series of irrelevant, and ridiculous, questions by then council members Mike Layton (Jack Layton's son), and Kristyn Wong-Tam.
