On May 7th, 2024, the Municipality of Trent Hills held an open public meeting to discuss the potential creation of new firearms discharge by-law, after receiving complaints from a group of local residents complaining that duck hunters were discharging their firearm too close to dwellings. The meeting was well attended, including representation from the CCFR's Tracey Wilson, Brian McRae of Delta Waterfowl, Armalytics Owner Zak Whittamore, and several local firearms owners who did an amazing job representing their community. This is a must watch! A big thank you to Trent Hills Municipality for live streaming this meeting and giving their constituents a fair and unbiased opportunity to discuss this important topic. Note: Some personal information has been edited out in respect of speakers at this meeting. -- Chapters -- (00:00) Intro (00:18) Extended Trailer (07:39) Deputy Mayor Michael Metcalf - Introduction (12:57) Chief Building Official Stephen White - Overview of Proposed by-law (20:22) Public Questions & Comments (21:35) 1st Respondents - Kevin & Catherine (27:16) 2nd Respondent - Brian McRae, Delta Waterfowl (37:00) 3rd Respondent - Tracey Wilson, CCFR (40:14) 4th Respondent - Jackie (42:37) 5th Respondent - Zak Whittamore, Armalytics (44:59) 6th Respondent - Christine (48:01) 7th Respondent - Steve (49:18) 8th Respondent - Robert G.
