Hammerhead 12ga Slugs - Possibly the worst round we ever tested

A viewer named Edward kindly sent us some Hammerhead slugs to test out. I have heard of these before and a couple years ago, I even asked the company to send us some samples to demonstrate - but my request went unanswered. I think after watching this video, you'll understand why. These were loaded precisely per the company's own load data. It's really too bad these failed so miserably as there are not that many companies in the U.S. that make alternatives to stuff like Foster slugs. The problem with these seem to be the grade of plastic used for the wads. We've never seen wads melt and distort so badly, even in very high ambient temperatures of over 105 deg F.
