LONG RANGE Whistling Projectile Test (viewer suggestion)

Last May we found out that Saar's DeLaval projectiles whistled. Since so many people wanted to hear how they'd do at much further distances (and we had recovered enough to do another test) we thought it would be a great idea to test out. The projectiles start out at around Mach 1 but quickly decelerate to subsonic speeds. The shockwave no longer is a barrier to prevent the air to pass through the projectile, and they begin to whistle. This may be the first time an object like this has ever been filmed going from supersonic to subsonic. The downside of this design is its TERRIBLY high subsonic drag, causing very rapid deceleration and limited range.
