This is actually an old-timey commercial solution to control the spread of buckshot. If you saw a photo of this on social media, it probably looks like a little frightening with the wire and all that. In this video we show what happens to this oddball configuration with a high speed camera. These were loaded rather hot and were travelling over 1600 fps.
