(Edit: we pulled and fixed a couple mistakes in this video. Special thanks to all the knife companies that sent products for us to review. ) This is our next installment on considerations for choosing an EDC fixed blade. These knives were sent to us to review so we started off from a neutral opinion on each and share our thoughts on what we like and dislike about them. Choosing the right blade to carry is very personal and you must first consider what uses you need the knife to serve. Based on the intended purpose blade geometry, grind type, tip shape, blade material and other design features in the blade come into play. Handle design is a big overlooked factor in most people’s process of picking a knife. It is also often overlooked by the makers too. Does it fit in the hand comfortably and safely using the grip you’re comfortable with? Hopefully this is helpful in figuring out what to look for when you’re buying your next EDC blade.
