After yet another officer involved shooting that left two more fatally wounded police officers, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doubled-down suggesting that the Liberal gun control measures were working, while blaming Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative party for not supporting their efforts, suggesting the CPC wanted less gun control. Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative party have maintained that they would offer stronger sentences for violent offenders, investing in law enforcement and urban communities and programs. Trudeau also claimed it was no longer possible to buy handguns, which is totally false. The proposed 'national freeze on handguns' has yet to come into effect.
