So it’s another AR, right? They’ve become so popular and prevalent these days. You can run through the whole price spectrum and find both good and bad ones. What’s the difference between a good and bad rifle? How much do I really need to pay for a good rifle? The first question to ask is “what do I need this tool to accomplish?” The idea behind the Door Kicker was to build a gun anyone would be confident to deploy with. That means reliability above all. Then comes accuracy, then comfort, then comfort and modularity. Looks come in last in my book, although I know some of you will want to argue about that. Fair enough, but those were the priorities in making this rifle. All of the components in the Door Kicker are of excellent quality without spending excess money in parts that either take away from safely running this gun in combat or are unnecessary. Beyond the practical reasons that make this a great workhorse there’s the person who builds them. Byron Russel is a retired Green Beret who has a ton of experience, really knows his stuff and is totally OCD about making things perfect.
