Sig M-18 Review | Tactical Rifleman

I thought about delaying the release of this video, because of the recent safety bulletin from SIG about the P320. However, there’s ALWAYS people on social media bitching about one gun versus another. My personal experience with the M-18 pistol has been excellent. There are those that dislike the external thumb safety. Personally, I’m a big fan of it. I see why “fair weather” shooters, that never leave the flat range, dislike the safety; they want their Glock “muscle memory” to be the same. However, if you train realistically, most threat targets in the building do NOT warrant deadly force. They are still “threats” but you are looking to go “hands on” with them. That means weapon strikes and blunt trauma. That external safety is one more bit of protection from you shooting some scared kid off the end of your barrel. The Army adopted the M-17/18 and the rest of the US military has followed. It is here to stay. It is very accurate and capable. A great jump forward from our dated M-9. I hope you enjoy the video.
