What to look for in a Training Range | Tactical Rifleman

This week's video, I want to talk about what I look for when I'm trying to find a shooting range complex to conduct a Tactical Rifleman shooting course; because a lot of what I look for are things that you should be thinking about when hunting for a training location for yourself. I get comments all the time, on our shooting videos; about guys complaining that they can't do all those drills at THEIR local range. They can't Draw at THEIR local range. They can't Shoot while Moving at THEIR local range. They can't shoot around vehicles at THEIR local range. They don't have access to reactive targets at THEIR local range. They don't have access to a shoot house at THEIR local range. I read all your comments (even if I don't answer) and I feel your pain. I wish there was a master data base of shooting ranges located around the world, but there isn't and I don't have time to do it. However, I can give you some pointers of what to look for; so when you are looking up ranges near you on the internet, you can sift through the spam. Every range looks great on their websites. For those of you that live within a few hours of Camp Lejeune or Fort Bragg in North Carolina, you all are lucky... You have "The Range Complex" right there in Autryville. I have filmed a bunch of videos there and gotten to play on most of their training areas... truly a great facility. Often, you'll see USSOCOM units there. Why? Because sometimes SOF units need to train "off base." ... because sometimes you need a flexible training venue... because TRC offers top professional training from instructors from top-tier units. Website: therangecomplex.com Special "Thanks" to all the staff at The Range Complex, for allowing us to use your great facility. Thanks for training America's finest, and thank you for your Service. Strength & Honor, TR
