One of the things I learned early on in my training in the military was that fighting is fighting, regardless of what tools you may or may not have. That means mindset. It’s not enough to be a good marksman under laboratory conditions when your heart rate is low and your mind is focused. What we’re showing here is not necessarily a drill, but more of a way to train your combat mindset and incorporate some Combatives skills. You can combine whatever open hand skills you already own, together with marksmanship and CQB skills. Changing gears from full aggression to fine control of your weapon is tricky and it’s a transition we have to train a lot in order to own it. Most importantly, be safe. Do everything dry until you’re satisfied that your muzzle and trigger control are perfect.
