Initially discovered signs lead Boris and his team into thicker vegetation. Visibility is very low and signs by wild animals in the area are making their job more difficult. The team will have to take a methodical approach with tactics pioneered by the British in the 1960s and used to great effect by the infamous “Tip Toe Boys” – British SAS, Australian SASR and the New Zealand SAS operating in SE Asia in the 1970s. Dense vegetation and forest floors often require the team to track color change alone, and it’s easy to lose the sign temporarily or get distracted by foul sign. How the team deals with this is going to determine success or failure. Fortunately, they are familiar with the 4-Step Track Casting Drill.
