Staff Sgt. Ben Lawson of the Calgary Police Service was speaking to media regarding a recent bust that saw Calgary police lay dozens of charges against two men over 3D gun manufacturing. At 01:28 Mr. Lawson talks about two trends police are seeing: 1) The illegal manufacturing of 3d printed 'ghost guns' 2) Gun smuggling At 02:13 Mr. Lawson explains that with '3D printers, just like anything, there are legal, lawful reasons to own & use one and a criminal element as well.' At 03:59 Mr. Lawson points out that law enforcement & the millions of lawful gun owners & businesses in this country want to protect our livelihoods. He asks that our community report any & all unlawful activity, especially the growing threat of illegally manufactured 3D guns. We will do what we always have done, obey the law and support law enforcement. Police know we're not the source of crime in this country.
