Conservative Doug Shipley confronted Marco Mendicino on missing data behind the Minister of Public Safety's Bill C-21 during the recent public safety committee meeting. Mendicino has failed to give any data to support his bill, or to approve the actions taken by the Liberal government, to combat the rise in illegal gun crime. Ignoring statistical data published by his own department in 2018, and showing disregard for the advice given by law enforcement leaders, he instead continued to blame legal gun owners in Canada by suggesting they were somehow connected to the actions of criminals.
