Red Cloud's War Guns of the Fetterman Fight

Immediately after the Civil War the Army found itself fighting the Sioux, Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians in a conflict known as Red Cloud’s War. This war was fought in an attempt to secure a road to the Montana gold fields that went through some prime hunting country of the Ogallala Sioux, and their allies. The Fetterman Massacre was the most famous battle in that war, where Capt Fetterman’s command was wiped out to a man. In this video, we’ll look at the weapons used on both sides of that fight.
